Southwest Florida Junior Golf Association (SWFJGA)

Southwest Florida Junior Golf Association (SWFJGA) is a nonprofit founded in 1974 to provide competitive golf opportunities for junior players ages 8–18 across Southwest Florida. The summer tournament series includes 9-hole events for younger players and 18-hole events for older juniors, hosted at courses in Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties. The organization promotes integrity, sportsmanship, and respect for the game through USGA rules and peer-enforced play. Over the years, SWFJGA has served more than 3,000 junior golfers, many of whom have gone on to collegiate and professional careers. The association also awards college scholarships each year, including the Patty Berg Award and the Nolan Henke Award. Since its founding, SWFJGA has granted over $480,000 in scholarships. Operated entirely by volunteers, the program is known for its affordability, community support, and strong emphasis on character development.
